Your First Visit

Your first visit with Dr McMenamin is an important consultation. For obstetric and gynaecological patients, the first visit will include a detailed medical, surgical, gynaecological and obstetric history and, usually, a physical examination. In most cases, your first visit with Dr McMenamin will last approximately 30 minutes. In order to make the most of your first visit it is important to bring the following along with you:

• Valid referral from your GP (this will usually have been received in advance)
• Any prescription medications you are currently taking
• Copies of previous scans or blood test results
• Copies of previous operation notes (for gynaecological referrals)
• A list of questions you wish to discuss
